POSITION TITLE: Technical Service Representative
COMPANY: GP Roadway Solutions
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance Solutions
  • Performs the primary marketing function for GPMS: Responds to calls and inquiries about services and products offered. Meets with prospective customers to survey their property and propose viable solution. Determines markets appropriate to Company's objectives and goals.Contributes to the design of brochures and trade show pamphlets promoting Company services and products.Prepares advertising and promotional plans for services and products.Ultimately responsible for expanding the existing customer base.
  • Executes projects: Prepares estimates, quotes, proposals, contracts; responds to requests for information from prospective customers. Maintains highly profitable sales volume. Documents and maintains quotes, pricing, and other information. Reviews project costs and profits; makes recommendations concerning overruns on ongoing/ future projects.
  • Performs credit functions: Extends, maintains and manages credit customers' accounts. Interacts effectively with customers, accounting, laborers, and management. Follows up with past due accounts on aging report.
  • Completes product inventory; makes order recommendations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies; ensures jobsite safety.
  • Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 1 year sales or construction experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email.
  • Excellent reading, writing and interpersonal skills via phone and in person.
  • Type 3 driver's license.
  • Upon completion of training, must be able to produce quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to take accurate field measurements and use the data to generate estimates, quotes, proposals and contracts.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential.
